Frequently Asked Questions
What education and training support your practice?
I bring a unique blend of medical knowledge, coaching expertise, and deep somatic training to my practice. I hold a Doctorate in Pharmacy, an Executive Coaching Certification from UC Berkeley, a Wellness Counseling Certificate from Cornell University, and I’m also a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Certified in Somatic Parts Work, a somatic approach to Internal Family Systems (IFS). My approach integrates physiological, trauma-informed and somatic perspectives to support clarity, self-awareness, embodied resilience, inner well-being, and healing.
What does “somatic” mean?
Somatic means relating to the body. In this context, we explore the mind-body connection by noticing what the body experiences along with the thoughts. For example, we might start by noticing small sensations, like how your body feels when you talk about something that excites you or when you’re feeling uncertain. From there, we’d begin to recognize patterns, signals, or areas where your body might be “holding” emotions, stress, or even wisdom you haven’t tapped into yet.
What kinds of topics do you work on?
You pick! This is more about your internal experience than it is about a specific problem. I work with individuals who want to reconnect with their inner wisdom and navigate life’s challenges with more clarity and calm. Rather than solving problems for you, I guide you in discovering the wisdom your body holds—wisdom that often goes untapped due to stress, life experiences, or the fast pace of the world.
Who is a fit to work with you?
If you’re curious and open to exploring what’s happening in your body, this approach could be a great fit! Many professional environments focus heavily on the mind, often overlooking the body. However, our bodies also need our attention and hold valuable wisdom that can guide us.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Yes! I see clients in person at Modern Path, a counseling practice in Chamblee, Georgia.
I also offer Zoom sessions for added flexibility.
What are your session rates?
My rate is $150 per 50-minute session.
