Hi, I’m Cherini!

I am a first generation Egyptian American with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, a background in physiology and applied neurobiology, and completed training as an approved Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP). My work is further informed by my training as a UC Berkeley Certified Coach and my Wellness Counseling Certificate from Cornell University.

My own healing journey began after a severe health crisis left me living with chronic pain and fatigue. Through Somatic Experiencing®, I began to understand that many symptoms are not signs of failure, but intelligent adaptations and expressions of the body asking for attention, care, and integration.

As someone with lived experience navigating complex trauma, religious trauma, and medical trauma, I bring both professional training and deep personal reverence to this work.

My work is rooted in understanding how trauma, chronic stress, relational environments, and larger systems shape the nervous system and our relationship with ourselves. I support individuals navigating developmental trauma, attachment wounds, chronic overwhelm, religious trauma, burnout, spiritual crisis, identity exploration, and the deeper layers of experience that often live beneath symptoms.

I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but creating the conditions for greater integration, self-awareness, authenticity, and aliveness to emerge.
